Visitor Visa
Canada is often described as a cultural mosaic. A country made up of many diverse cultures, languages, religions and landscapes. This is what has made Canada a popular destination to visit, meet up with friends, and reunite with family. At the Law Office of Kristina Archer, I will work with you to craft a strong visitor visa application.

Do I need a Visitor Visa to visit Canada?
Most foreign nationals require a visitor visa before entering Canada. Other foreign nationals, those from visa-exempt countries, will need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). To see if you require a Visitor Visa or eTA, please visit the following Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) site: Visitor Visa or eTA.
What are the requirements for an eTA or a Visitor Visa?
Regardless of whether you are applying for an eTA or a Visitor Visa, you will need to meet the following requirements:
-
Have a valid travel document, for example, a passport
-
Be in good health - at this time Canada still requires that all visitors have received both doses of an approved Covid-19 vaccine
-
Have sufficient funds for your stay
-
Not be inadmissible to Canada; no criminal history. If you do have a criminal history, including a DUI/DWI you may still be able to enter Canada. Please contact me to see how I can help you achieve your travel goals.
What happens if my application is approved?
If your application is approved, the visa office will provide you with either a multiple entry or single entry visa. You can then use this visa to travel and enter Canada. You can remain in Canada for a maximum of 6 months at any one time unless you apply for an extension of your visitor visa.
